The Carolina Panthers Wednesday picked up the fifth-year contract option for quarterback Bryce Young.
Young will earn $29.5M in 2027 under terms of the option year. The 24-year-old former number one draft pick (2023) is coming off his best season. He posted career highs in yards passing (3,011), touchdown passes (23) and completion percentage (63.6%).
Young led the Panthers to the NFC South title in 2025. The team made the playoffs for the first time since 2017.
